Garden Designs
It takes more than just plants and decorations to make an enchanted garden; it takes imagination. While the beauty of the plants must be the central focus, there are several unique items which heighten the intriguing qualities of the garden. Mirrors continually prove to be one of most fascinating items. You could choose such items as mirror pillars and flowers. Bright colors are also attractive. You can decorate your garden with glass-like jewels, which are immediate eye-catchers. With imagination, any garden can be an enchanted garden.

Garden Votives
Eating a meal outdoors at a table in a garden is, in a word, idyllic. Whether it's breakfast in a field of lavender, brunch under a willow tree, or lunch among a sunny patch of marigolds, such an occasion is sure to be special. Dinner at dusk amidst night blooms, however, can be the most magical of all. Garden Candles
There are certain garden decor pieces that, though stunning, must be used with great caution. Candles are among those things. As long as you observe the simple rules which may be justly attributed to the realm of common sense, you can set your imagination free to create a stunning area. Dark summer nights are perfect for the dancing candle flames, especially at parties. On snowy winter nights, candles look especially stunning when placed along a walkway so that their small, warm lights are reflected off of the white snow and gently guide the way to a special spot. Votive candles are also beautiful; such candles can be used to mark the place where a wonderful event occurred, like a wedding engagement or a celebration, or to light your favorite spot in your garden. Beautiful candles make lovely, striking additions to a garden.

Garden Urns
If you are trying to decide whether to use an urn or a planter to showcase your plants, you should consider the unique properties of each. Urns are characterized by a very unique, classical, artistic shape. If you have a short plant which covers a large area, like a bed of pansies, a planter would be the better choice. On the other hand, if you have a tall plant which requires a small soil surface area, like a lily, an urn would work well. Also, cascading plants like ivy make a dramatic display in an urn and can be kept neatly trimmed. For ivy an urn is preferable because ivy can easily overwhelm the shorter, wider planter. In general, profusely blooming, short plants look better in planters; tall plants are difficult to line up properly in a planter, and they can easily make the planter look top-heavy or overgrown. Urns are perfect for these plants while short plants tend to look dwarfed in urns. Thus, planters and urns each have their own unique purposes and strengths.

Garden Planters
If you are looking for a planter to show off your prized plants in a sunny room, on a window sill, on a patio, or on a porch, you will likely want to pick one with a soft color, a brown, yellow, ivory, white, or grey tone, as well as an artistic design. One of the best ways to pick out an attractive art pattern is to turn to the art of past centuries and foreign lands, in particular the famous architecture and works of the ancient Greeks and Romans, as well as the art of the classical Europeans. The Greek Parthenon, Roman goddess Venus, and classical cherubs all make excellent subjects. Planters featuring such depictions are sure to impress.

Planters and Urns
If you love your garden so much that you'd like to add a bit of its charm to your patio, porch, sunroom, or windown sill, you could transplant some of the flowers or other plants to a planter and place it in an adequate spot; just be sure that their new places matches the amount of sun or shade which made them flourish in their first homes. To show off these plants, you need to chose a suitable planter or urn; brown, white, ivory, or yellow, or generally any other muted or softly colored tone, is a good choice. With such an unobtrusive color, you can then chose an eye-catching design. This will make visitors take a second glance; first, they will notice your gorgeous plants, then they will notice the wonderful planter that modestly presents them. This is a classy way to feature highlights of your prized garden in places in and around your dwelling.

Outdoor Garden Lights
Most gardens could be enhanced with some kind of lighting. To showcase a prized plant, statue, or flag at night, you can invest in a garden spotlight. Such a light highlights a specific point of your garden and can be discreetly placed in a faux rock facade. If your purpose is rather to mark a trail through the dark, you could choose a garden path light. Some resemble miniature lightposts and feature many different styles. If you seek such a light, you could also consider solar-powered lights; these need no prompting by switch or timer to turn on at the right time; they are also painless to install as compaired to using troublesome wires.
